Canoe Adventures also offer guided 2-seat open canoe outings and coaching to British Canoe Union (BCU) criteria. basic training starts on sheltered tidal water and, depending on the student's development and ambition, progresses to open water and thence to moving water. BCU certificates of competence are earned along the way.

White water guided runs and training are offered in 2-seat open canoes from October to the end of the Winter season (see River Dart Access Information). The lower reaches of the freshwater Dart are ideal for one-off trips and for beginners. Paddling skills acquired on moving water last a lifetime!
